Calories are not equal – the impact on the body of 200 calories of one food is not necessarily the same as the impact of the same amount from another. If you like eating a lot, choose maximum volume for minimum calories. Make fat burning foods (which speed up your metabolism or are calorie neutral) and/or low GI foods the main stay of your every-day diet. Always keep some kitchen staples in stock which are low or no fat and make sure they also form a big part of your day to day diet.
